Isso mesmo, você não leu errado! A galera do Grupo de Eletricidade Atmosférica (Elat) do Inpe contou exatos 10.116 raios em um único dia. Dá pra imaginar?

Osmar Pinto Jr., que comanda o Elat, disse ao g1 que esse número é de dar arrepio. Ele ainda destacou que a área é campeã em incidência de raios, junto com o litoral norte de São Paulo. Segundo ele, “esses números são altos mesmo a nível Brasil”.

Verão e Raios: Uma Combinação Perigosa

O fenômeno rolou na última terça-feira, dia 18, e parece que o verão está ajudando na festa dos raios, principalmente por causa das altas temperaturas, localização geográfica, urbanização e a água quente do mar. Osmar ainda brincou que fevereiro é tipo a ‘temporada de raios’: “Normalmente a gente vê tempestades com 100, 200, 300 raios, mas dessa vez passamos dos 1.500 fácil”, contou.
